CARING FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY CANCER

CARING FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY CANCER

Complementary therapies and counselling are available by appointment, so give us a ring on 01483 406618, or come in and ask at reception. Our services are open to all current and former patients, their relatives and carers.

The Fountain Centre works in partnership with the Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and our aim is to complement the medical treatment provided.

Published research has found that complementary therapies can help treat the side effects of cancer and cancer treatment, including pain, nausea, neuropathy, fatigue and hot flushes. They have also been found to reduce stress and anxiety, promote overall wellbeing and stimulate the circulatory, immune and other systems in the body.

The Fountain Centre offers over 20 complementary therapies that are provided by our highly trained volunteer therapists. To find out more about our complementary therapies, see here or feel free to phone us or come in for more information. Patients can access four free complementary therapies, after which we ask for a small donation. Loved ones are also welcome to use our complementary therapy service but we ask for a small donation after each treatment.

All therapists at the Fountain Centre abide with nationally agreed criteria and are all individually qualified and insured.
