Ways To Donate

However you choose to donate, no donation is too small

Regular Giving

Making a regular gift to the Fountain Centre is the most effective way to support our work. A monthly gift allows us to plan ahead and develop our services. You can download a standing order form or set up a monthly donation below.

Just Giving

A great way to start fundraising is with an online fundraising page. It's easy to set up your JustGiving page and start raising money for us. Once you've started receiving donations, JustGiving will make sure the donations get to us. They will even claim Gift Aid which can increase each donation by 25% at no extra cost to the donor – they simply have to be a UK taxpayer.

In Memoriam Giving

Of all the gifts we receive, those in memory of loved ones are particularly precious. Some families ask for donations instead of flowers at the funeral service, which can be handled by the Funeral Director and passed on to us. Some families set up donation pages as a tribute on JustGiving, for example, or on specialist memorial sites, such as MuchLoved.

Legacies

Legacies can make a huge contribution to our work, and we are immensely grateful when people remember the help they have had from the Fountain Centre in this way.

There are many online sites offering advice and comparison services, and all local solicitors’ firms can give advice on will writing. Macmillan offer a discounted will-writing service (without any obligation to leave them any money) and it is also possible to buy a kit and write your own will. The Fountain Centre is not qualified to offer advice itself and has no particular ties to any local firms – instead, we belong to a national organisation for small charities, Remember a Charity, which offers impartial advice on what to consider when thinking about making a will and how to proceed.

Gift Aid

Increase the value of your donation at no extra cost to you!  If you are currently a UK taxpayer and you fill out a Gift Aid declaration when you make a donation, we can claim back 25p for every £1 that you donate.  This makes such a difference to our fundraising

How does Gift Aid work?

Gift Aid is a government scheme which enables registered charities in the United Kingdom to claim the tax back from the HMRC on donations. Once you have signed your Gift Aid declaration it is valid for all gifts in the future, and for any gifts you have made to us in the four years prior to signing the declaration. Please be advised that Gift Aid cannot be claimed on donations made on behalf of a group or a collection. To declare all the donations you have made in the last four years, and any you may give in the future that are eligible for Gift Aid, please fill out the online form below.
